TechVenture 2k23

The Association of Computer Science and Engineering Students (ACSES) organized various technical competitions under the event titled “TechVenture 2023″ from 28-02-2023 to 01-03-2023.

Inauguration of the TechVenture 2k23 was held on 28th February 2023 by Dr K.K. Prasad, Principal in presence of the Head of CSE-AIML Department, Prof. V.V. Nimbalkar, all faculty members and students of CSE Department. All participants from various Departments and Engineering institutes also graced this inaugural ceremony. The CSE Department received an overwhelming response from students not only from our institute but also from other institutes. Around 160 students participated in various competitions and enjoyed all aspects of each competition.

The Techfest provided a platform to all students to showcase their technical skills and develop team and leadership skills. An organizing committee of students also learnt various management skills to organize the event successfully and showcase their creative skills through decoration, event promotion, etc. An innovative idea for the inauguration, the theme of decoration and the idea of some unique competition like CodeHunt, and Techie talk were appreciated by Principal Sir and all participants.

The summary of all completions and the number of its participants is as follows:

Sr.No. Title of Competition Number of

participants

1 Code Hunt 33
2 Digital Poster 8
3 Break the Query 9
4 Debugging 7

In the Code Hunt competition, participants have to predict the output of a given code in a given time. It encouraged participants to solve coding problems in a fun way. In the digital poster-making competition, participants designed a digital poster using Figma (open-source tool) which would boost their design skill. Break the Query competition helped the participants to understand the database and how to frame the query which will provide the required result. In any programming language debugging plays a vital role to get the appropriate output, debugging event will help participants to gain confidence in code analysis and find any faults in that code. For the presentation and research skills, there was a “Techie Talk ” to showcase participant’s public speaking skills and to make research on recent trends in Technology. Google competition tested the searching skills of participants to search for accurate information related to the provided image. For those students who have an interest in website design for them, we had a website design competition to showcase their creative skills to design websites based on a given idea.

Ms Mehvish Phansopkar and Mr Sami Wasta were the coordinators of the event. Prof. A. N. Shetye was the faculty coordinator. Prof. Sprooha S. Athalye also contributed to carrying out the smooth conduction of the event. A total of 160 students actively participated in this technical event. The program was organized and conducted under the guidance of the Head Prof. Vrishali V. Nimbalkar.
