About Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell
Introduction
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell established at our institute in the year 2013-14. The objective of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell is to create an entrepreneurial culture in our institute and inculcate culture of innovation driven entrepreneurship through student’s project. In view of this exposing students of academic institutions to various aspects of entrepreneurship and sensitizing them to entrepreneurship as an alternate career. Change the mind set of students from job seeker to become job giver. Under the IEDC, we organized different activities related to entrepreneurship like project idea competition; Entrepreneurship awareness Camp,Experts talk etc
Every year we are organizing Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for our final year students. For these camps we got fund from Department of Science & Technology under the DST-NIMAT project and Entrepreneurship Development Institute as an implementing agency.
Objective:
- To catalyze and endorse development of knowledge-based and innovation driven enterprises
- To promote self employment opportunities amongst students.
- To channelize the energy of youth towards becoming active partners in the economic development process.
- To introduce the concept of entrepreneurship in curricula for degree students
Program Organized
- Workshop on entrepreneurship Awareness program
- Seminar on entrepreneurship development, start-up, among the student
Expected Outcome
- “Job Seekers” would be converted to “Job-Generators” through the entrepreneurial route.
- To developed of leadership among students
- To promote knowledge based and technology-driven start-ups
