Seminar on Advances in Accelerated Data Science

A seminar on “Advances in Accelerated Data Science” was organized by the Information Technology department for TEIT students on 22nd September 2022. This program covered the following key aspects of Data Science:

  1. Workload Optimization Tool

  2. Accelerated Dask Overview

  3. Accelerated Arrays with CuPy

  4. Recent advancements in Machine Learning and Graph Analytics

The session gave a comprehensive overview of different tools used for workload optimization. The discussion also included accelerated frameworks such as Dask and CuPy. The final part of the session also covered the recent advancements in Machine Learning and Graph Analytics.

The seminar was initiated by HOD(IT), Dr. Vinayak A. Bharadi and organized by Prof. Shashank S. Tolye. The seminar was conducted as a part of the NVIDIA MoU. The seminar was delivered in hybrid mode and a total of 70 students attended the session. All the attendees enthusiastically attended the seminar and were satisfied by the valuable advanced concepts discussed in the seminar.
