World Population Day

World Population Day

FAMT celebrated World Population Day on 11th July, 2018. A program was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering for students, faculty and staff members. World Population Day is observed to raise awareness on the global population issues since 1989.

The programme began with an introduction of World Population Day and its’ importance by Prof. Hemant V. Chavan. A video based on World Population Day was shown to the students elaborating the information of the day. On this occasion Essay Writing, Quiz on General Awareness and Elocution Competition were organized for the students.

The main objective of the celebration was spreading awareness on exploding world population, importance of reproductive health and population issues like family planning, human rights, child marriage etc.

Total 225 students from Second to Final year engineering participated in the programme successfully organized by FAMT ISHRAE, FSAI, ASME, and ASHRAE Student Chapters. It was coordinated by Faculty Advisor Prof. Hemant V. Chavan in association with Prof. Harshal R. Salvi, Prof. Abhijit M. Date and Prof. Dayanand G. Potdar under the guidance of Dr. Kaushal Prasad ,Principal, FAMT and Prof. M. S. Yadav (Head of Mechanical Engineering Department).
