Webinar on a Career path after BE in Electrical Engineering – Sharing Experiences

The students are often confused about the career path after their graduation. They are unable to decide the path which would lead them to a successful career. They have many questions like how to apply for a job in various companies, how to prepare the resume, the initial days of the job etc. Given this, the Department of Electrical Engineering organised a Webinar on ‘Career after BE Electrical-Sharing Experiences’for the third year and Final year students on 25th February 2021.

Mr. Aniket Ulhas Salvi, Junior Manager, JSW Tarapur was the speaker. He is an alumnus of FAMT and has completed BE Electrical with 23rd  rank on the University of Mumbai merit list. He has also worked with POSCO Maharashtra as an Executive Engineer.

Initially in the address, Mr Aniket Salvi shared information about preparation during Engineering studies,  Suggestions like collecting the in-depth knowledge of various engineering subjects, enriching Bio-data by various activities, and developing different skills required for a career. He explained preparation for an interview in which points like collecting information about the company through website, ex-employees, ambition box, Glassdoor etc., how to write a custom resume for different companies were covered. Further, he advised students to lead the interview by various techniques and being tactful during an interview. Many suggestions were shared with the attendees about how to do a job search, how to use job search Engines effectively by updating the resumes continuously, how to use Linkedin, Facebook and Telegram networking etc. Finally, he asked students to invest each minute to upgrade themselves. In the end, he answered satisfactorily in the QA session.

This program was organised by Prof. M.N.Tagare and Prof. Suhas Mhabadi, HoD, Electrical. Prof. Sudhir Wamane helped them with the conduction of the same. A total of 46 students attended the Program. Prof. M.N.Tagare expressed the vote of thanks to the speaker and attendees. Master Sandip Kulkarni prepared a digital poster of the event.
