Visit to Science Express Climate Action Special

Students of Second Year IT visited Science Express Climate Action Special (SECAS) on 14th July 2017. The train was at Ratnagiri railway station from 14 July to 17 July 2017. This initiative was started in 2007 by Govt. of India in order to spread an awareness regarding current climate changes.

Each coach had separate volunteer who shared information on climate change, composition of atmosphere, greenhouse effect, earth’s rising temperature and essentials for preventing the same. The students visited ten coaches and collected valuable information. In the end, Prof. Deven Ketkar submitted a feedback on behalf of teachers and students. The visit was co-ordinated by Prof. S Sankareswari, Prof. Onkar Dike and Prof. Deven Ketkar.
