STTP on Energy Efficient Practices in Refrigeration and Air conditioning

A Short Term Training Program on Energy Efficient Practices in Refrigeration and Airconditioning was successfully conducted from 2nd December to 6th December 2019 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ASHRAE Mumbai Chapter and ISHRAE Thane Chapter.

Dr.Milind V Rane Institute Chair Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay, was the Cheif guest. He inaugurated the programme which was followed by Saraswati Vandana by the students. In the welcome speech, Dr.Kaushal Prasad, the Principal, mentioned the objective of organizing the STTP is to inculcate and nurture the culture of research amongst all the faculty members.  In the Keynote speech, Dr. Milind V. Rane shared his views with the faculty participants that such programmes would enhance their skills of teaching and research concepts practically.  Dr. Milind S. Kikire, Head of Mechanical engineering Department, encouraged the participants in concluding speech to participate dynamically in the STTP and thanked the Advisory Committee Member Mrs.Roshini Easow, Past President ASHRAE Mumbai and Mrs. Manjusha Deshpande, President ISHRAE Thane Chapter.

The prime objective of the STTP was to bridge the gap between academics and recent technical advances in the field of RAC. It received an overwhelming response from 30 participants. A total of 16 Guest speakers from Industries around Mumbai, Goa, and Sangli guided participants with their experience. It was coordinated by Dr.Milind S Yadav and Prof. Hemant V Chavan.
