STEM K-12 Outreach Activity No. 02
Name of School: Zilla Parishad Ismail Mistri Urdu School, Mazgaon, Ratnagiri
Number of Students Participated: 30 school students and 6 ASME student members
ASME FAMT section conducted a K-12 STEM activity on 31st March 2022. The activity was conducted to advance the awareness, understanding, and appreciation of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in the K-12 student population.
The K-12 STEM Activity consisted of multiple activities related to Science, Technology Mathematics and Engineering.
The following Activities were conducted in School:
1. Introduction consonants & vowels
2. Drawing & colouring
3. Vedic Mathematics
4. Solar System
In total, 30 students from the school were participate in this activity. The program was coordinated by FAMT ASME student members under the guidance of faculty advisor Prof. Hemant V Chavan under the guidance of Dr M. S. Kirkire, Dean Academics and HoD Mechanical Department.
