Special Residential Camp by NSS Unit
A Special Residential Camp of the NSS Unit f was arranged at Z.P. Primary School No.1 Mirjole (Madhaliwadi) Ratnagiri on 06th to 12 January 2020 for the academic year 2019-20.
The Sarpanch, members of Grampanchayat and Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, FAMT inaugurated the camp on 06/01/2020. On the first day of camp, all activities were planned along with the formation of teams and team logo & posters were prepared.
On the second day of camp, the water tank behind the school was cleaned as a part of Shramadan activity. During the intellectual session, Prof. Vaibhav Sansare, Faculty FAMT, delivered a talk on India’s Proud History. Soul Infinity, the first team, performed a cultural event.
On the third day of camp, the volunteers initiated the construction of a dam on the river under Shramadan activity by interacting with the villagers. During the intellectual session, Prof. Milind Tagare, Faculty FAMT, conducted a lecture on Ancient Indian Science. The creators, Group no 02, performed in a cultural event.
On the fourth day of camp, the construction of the dam was continued. Mr. Sushil Salvi, Area Coordinator delivered a talk on Personality Development during the intellectual session. The optimizers, group no 03, performed a cultural event. On the fifth day of camp, the construction of the dam was completed. A place, behind the school, was prepared to plant vegetables and the school was decorated under the Shramadan activity. During the intellectual session, Prof. Harshal Salvi, Faculty FAMT, addressed on Orientation of Astrology. The cultural event was performed by team unity – group no 04. On the sixth day of the camp, the ceiling of school was decorated with pataka under Shramadan activity and the NSS volunteers conducted the science practical for school students. During the intellectual session, Dr. Sonali Kadam, Gogate-Joglekar College, Ratnagiri delivered a talk on life skills. Soul Infinity, the group no 01, performed a cultural event.
On the seventh day of camp, the valedictory ceremony was arranged in presence of Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, FAMT, and Dr. Surendra ThakurDesai, HoD Geography Department. Gogate-Jogalekar College and other dignitaries. Thereafter, the volunteers left for their homes.
