Seminar on “Opportunities and Challenges in Chemical Industries”
The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a Seminar on “Opportunities and Challenges in Chemical Industries” on 03rd April 2023. Mr Bhagesh Ballan, an alumnus of the Chemical Engineering Department from the 2021 batch and currently working as a PD & BD Executive, at Konnark Polychem LLP, Bharuch, Gujrat was invited to interact with Final Year Chemical Engineering students, to understand the nature of chemical industry work culture and opportunities in various fields of the industry, especially process engineering and design department.
The seminar was arranged in collaboration with the Association of Chemical Engineering Students (ACES) and began in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr Nitin Kanse and Prof. R. K. Marag. Mr Bhagesh Ballan shared his industrial experience in the core chemical industry as a process engineer as well as opportunities and challenges after graduation. He also shared the nature of the chemical industry and its various departments where potential opportunities exist. Final-year Chemical Engineering students coordinated the event successfully. Ms Purva Vanjari hosted the program successfully.
The event was attended by 20 students and was coordinated successfully by Prof. R. K. Marag.
