The department of MCA organized an Institute Industry Interaction on 17th October, 2019. The resource person for the session was from Top IT Red Hat Academy, Pune, which is an authorized training partner of Red Hat.
Prof. Tejas V. Joshi, the head of department, introduced the guest speaker Ms. Kavita Patil and Dr. Shashikant Goilkar, Dean – Research and Development, felicitated her. Prof Atul Yadav, Deputy T&P Officer, was also present for the session. Dr. Shashikant Goilkar addressed the audience on the importance of learning open source technologies and taking it as a career path.
Ms. Kavita Patil shared information related to different certification courses of Red Hat and informed the students about the opportunities in the field of Red Hat Administration. The Red Hat Academy in association with the department of MCA has planned to start an authorized Red Hat Training Center on FAMT campus which would offer the training and certification at concessional fee. Ms. Kavita Patil encouraged the students to take the advantage of the global certification opportunities which will offered on the campus soon.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Kishor R. Bhosale. A total of 51 students from MCA department were present for the session. Prof. Waman R. Parulekar coordinated the session.
