Industry Expert Session by
Prolific Technologies Pvt. Ltd. on Importance of Automation for Electrical Engineers
The Department of Electrical Engineering, FAMT Ratnagiri organized an Industrial Expert session on 22nd February 2023 about the “Importance of Automation for Electrical Engineers”. Third-year Electrical Engineering students participated in this program.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Jayant Mane, Associate Professor and Head of the Department. In his speech, he appreciated the department conducting such a program which is very useful to the student community. He also emphasized the importance and roles of Automation in Electrical Engineering.
The Guest introduction was given by Dr. Jayant Mane, Associate Professor and head of the Department. The session was handed over to guest speaker Mr. Vivek Sardal, Regional Manager, Prolific Technologies Private Limited, Pune. He delivered a talk on “Application of Electrical Engineering in Automation Industry”.
He highlighted the importance of PLC, SCADA HMI etc. in the automation industry and its development in recent scenarios through discussion about different live projects he came across. He also discussed various types of PLC products such as Allen Bradly, and Siemens. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Prasad Kadam, Subject In charge, Electrical Engg. Department. Over all 45 students participated in this event and availed the benefit from the same.
