EESA Arranged Photography Exhibition on World Photography Day

The Photography Exhibition in celebration of World Photography Day was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and excitement on August 19th, 2023. The Principal of FAMT, Dr. Kaushal Prasad, graced the occasion and inaugurated the exhibition.

The exhibition remained open to the students and faculty members from the inauguration day until Monday, August 21st, 2023. This three-day exhibition allowed ample time for students, faculty members, and photography enthusiasts to explore and appreciate the diverse themes and talents showcased.

Themes and Display:

The exhibition displayed a captivating array of photographs organised into four distinct themes:

Shades of Nature: Nature enthusiasts were treated to a visual feast of vibrant landscapes, breathtaking wildlife, and mesmerising natural phenomena. The photographers captured the essence of the natural world through their lens.

Hometown Pride: This theme celebrates local culture and heritage. Participants beautifully depicted the rich traditions, landmarks, and hidden gems of their hometowns, fostering a sense of pride and nostalgia.

Dreadful Destinations: The eerie and mysterious side of travel and exploration came to life through this theme. Photographs of haunted places, abandoned buildings, and chilling landscapes sent shivers down the spines of visitors.

E-waste: The pressing issue of electronic waste was highlighted through thought-provoking images. Participants creatively portrayed the impact of electronic waste on the environment and the urgent need for responsible disposal and recycling.

The exhibition received an overwhelming response from both students and faculty members. The campus buzzed with excitement as visitors explored the captivating photographs, engaging in meaningful discussions about the art of photography and the themes represented.

EESA expressed their gratitude to all the participants for their outstanding contributions. While every photograph showcased remarkable talent, the judges selected one best photo to receive a prize for each theme.  Dr. Jayant J Mane (HOD, Department of Electrical Engineering, FAMT) and Prof. Rahul Tivarekar (Assistant Professor, Dept of CSE, FAMT) were judges for this photography exhibition.
