A Value-added Course on IoT Development Essentials: A Journey to Industry4.0

Under IETE Students Forum (ISF)

A Value-added Course on “loT Development Essentials: A Journey into Industry 4.0”, under IETE Students Forum (ISF) was organized by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, from 16th February to 18th February 2024.

In this course, students were given hands-on exposure to hardware interfacing and programming of various modules such as LED, LDR, DHT11, Buzzer, LCD, serial communication, and IoT application development.

The objective of this workshop is to explore Arduino and its IoT application development in project building for the students. This course was organized to serve the following outcomes:

  1. Understand the fundamentals of Arduino &loT.
  2. Understand the requirements in loT Development
  3. Collaborative Problem-Solving in loT.
  4. Using Basic Engineering Principles in loT Solutions.
  5. Learning on Your Own for LOT Innovation

Dr. S. V. Chougule, the Head of EXTC Department, graced the inaugural program and introduced and welcomed the resource person. Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal delivered the keynote address about the industrial revolution, and recent advancements happening around us and motivated students to acquire the latest skillsets to build their careers. Resource Person Mr Ajinkya D Dixit, the Founder, Aerobotix Techsolutions Pvt. Ltd, Kolhapur, conducted the course and covered basic to advanced topics related to IoT application development and highlighted its effectiveness in Industry 4.0.

Prof. Amol R. Sutar worked as the Faculty Coordinator of the event. The training program was coordinated by students Mr Bhosale Aditya Vijay, Mr Dafle Raj Dhiraj, Mr.Hodekar Mohammed Saad Abdul Sattar, Mr. Jadhav Soham Manoj, Mr. Yadav Dinesh Mangesh, Mr. Shivalkar Payal Amar of TE EXTC Department, under the guidance of Dr. S V Chougule. A total of 57 students, 41 students from SE EXTC and 16 students from TE EXTC actively participated in the course and shared their feedback at the end of this workshop.
