A Seminar on Introduction to CAT and IIM Procedures
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, organized a session on ‘’Introduction to CAT and IIM Procedures on 1stOctober 2018. The session was specially planned for third year Engineering students of the department, to guide them for entrance test of CAT to secure admission in IIMs under the valuable guidance of Dr. Kaushal Prasad (Principal), Dr. Milind Kirkire (Dean Academics) and Prof. M S Yadav (HoD, Mechanical Engg.). Mr. Pratik Barve, alumnus of FAMT and presently is studying MBA in IIM Bengaluru, was the guest speaker for the session. Prof. Gayatri Abhyankar (Asst. Prof. Mech. Dept.)coordinated the seminar along with Prof. Abhilasha S Jadhav (Asst. Prof. Mech. Dept.)
The guest speaker Mr. Pratik Barve shared his excellent experiences related to CAT and IIM procedures. He insisted on the point that, one should be very focused and determined when going for CAT, by developing various interview techniques, by building up a very brilliant personal profile with very good and effective communication skills. He explained various aspects of the entrance test question paper related to CAT and specially mentioned the importance of reading books for development of logical reasoning and data interpretation techniques, which are very important tools for clearing the entrance exam for CAT. The session ended with vote of thanks from Prof. Gayatri Abhyankar.
Total 99 students of Mechanical Engineering Department attended the program.
