A Course Enrichment Webinar on Model-based Development

To disseminate the information regarding the opportunities for an Electrical Engineer in the Core and IT sectors, the Electrical Engineering Department organized a Course Enrichment Webinar on Model-based Development on Sunday, 18th July 2021.  The Department alumnus, Mr Advait Halbe, System Engineer at TCS was the speaker.  A total of 76 students were present for the program alongwith Dr. Sandeep Chawada, HoD and the faculty members.

Prof. M. N. Tagare welcomed and introduced Mr Advait Halbe. Mr Advait Halbe has passed BE Electrical from FAMT in 2019. He is working as System Engineer in TCS Pvt. Ltd. He holds expertise in MATLAB and C programming. At FAMT, he was very active in curricular and co-curricular activities and has won many prizes.

Mr Advait Halbe expressed his gratitude towards the teachers and department for their support during his tenure. He explained the different fields which are open for core Electrical Engineers and the job roles an electrical engineer can play in any core company. He elucidated job roles in the IT industry.  In the later part of the discussion, information about the automotive industry was shared.  The traditional development cycle and model-based development, their comparison, software development V cycle were discussed. Finally, model development and simulation, testing code generation and use of MATLAB Simulink in the design were also covered. He expressed interest in delivering a separate detailed talk on these topics. The session was concluded with question answers.
