“Women’s Day Celebration”

Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) and the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC) of  F A M T, Ratnagiri jointly organized an Event for the International Women’s Day Celebration with the motto ” Awareness about Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment” on 15th March 2024.

The purpose of celebrating this day was to promote peace alongside women’s rights. While every day acknowledges women’s importance, this specific day is designated to honour all women and their achievements.

The Inauguration Ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. S. V. Chougule, Convener of  ICC, Prof. Vrunda Kulkarni, Secretary ICC, faculty, staff members and students.

Dr. S. V. Chougule extended a warm welcome to all attendees and emphasized the importance of respecting and valuing women. She mentioned that women represent kindness, care, and wisdom and should never give up on their uniqueness. Dr. Chougule also talked about the goals of the Internal Complaint Committee: Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplaces during her speech.

The students enthusiastically participated & showcased their talent in Poster Making Competition and Ensemble Speaking Challenge.

A total of 26 students participated from different branches. At the end, the prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the competition was organized.  The program was successfully concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Janhavi Terase, Student Chief Coordinator Association of Students of EXTC (ASENT), with the support of ASENT committee members.
