On 24th September 2024, the Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA) celebrated Engineers Day with great enthusiasm in the C 1/06 Seminar Hall. The event was organized to honour the contributions of engineers to society and to inspire the next generation of engineering professionals.
The traditional lamp-lighting ceremony marked the beginning of the celebration, representing the illumination of knowledge. This was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony, marking the occasion in honour of all engineers and fostering a sense of camaraderie among the attendees.
The event featured several activities, including a quiz competition and technical games, which were conducted by the students. These activities were designed to challenge the participants’ knowledge and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging manner, while also fostering teamwork and collaboration.
Distinguished guests who graced the occasion included Mr. Manoj Patil, a successful engineer and an esteemed alumnus of FAMT, Mr. K. P. Ganesh, and Ms. Kirti Raorane. Their presence added significant value to the event. They shared their experiences and insights with the students, motivating them to pursue excellence in their engineering careers.
The entire event was successfully coordinated by MESA students’ team, under the guidance of Prof. Gayatri M Kirkire, Prof. Hemant V Chavan and Dr. Milind S Kirkire, HoD Mechanical.
