One-Day Workshop on “Practical Software Engineering using Industry Tools and Agile Practices”
The Department of CSE (Cyber Security), Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT), Ratnagiri, successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Practical Software Engineering using Industry Tools and Agile Practices” on 7th September 2026 for Third Year CSE (Cyber Security) students.
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Vishal Tivarekar, Staff Software Engineer, Nium India Pvt. Ltd. The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices by providing students with practical insights into software engineering tools, development workflows, and Agile methodologies through live demonstrations and interactive discussions.
The workshop provided students with valuable exposure to real-world software development practices and helped them understand how industry tools and Agile approaches are applied in professional environments. The session encouraged students to connect theoretical concepts with industry expectations and gain insight into current software engineering practices. The event was coordinated by Dr. Saurabh Shrikant Athalye, Assistant Professor, CSE (Cyber Security), under the guidance of Dr. Geetanjali N. Sawant, Head of Department, CSE (Cyber Security). The workshop concluded successfully, with appreciation for the resource person’s valuable contribution to the students’ learning experience.
