Engineer’s and Teacher’s Day Celebration
The Department of Information Technology, in association with its Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student’s Chapter, successfully hosted a memorable Teacher’s and Engineer’s Day Celebration on September 05, 2026.
This joint event served to honour two pillars of national progress: engineers, by commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary Sir M. Visvesvaraya for his monumental contributions to nation-building, and educators, and by acknowledging the profound importance of the teaching profession, which is formally celebrated on September 5th each year to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The celebration included insightful technical talks relevant to the IT field, vibrant cultural performances, and an award ceremony, effectively fostering a spirit of appreciation and intellectual exchange among students, faculty, and management for those who build the infrastructure and those who cultivate the intellect.
The programme commenced with the felicitation of all faculty members by giving flowers by ACM student members and coordinators. Prof. S. V. Jadhav and students shared their views on this occasion. The event was coordinated successfully by Prof. A. B. Vartak under the guidance of Dr. V. A. Bharadi, the Head of the Department.
