CSE (AI & ML) Department Held A Fresher’s Party – Lumo’s 2k26

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) organized a vibrant Freshers’ Party on 30 September 2026 at EN1/5 from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM. to welcome the newly admitted students, foster interaction among students and faculty members, and create a friendly and enthusiastic academic environment.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with the felicitation of Dr. Yogesh Gajmal, Head of Department, and Prof. Akshay Shetye, Faculty In-charge of the Students’ Association. Placement achievers Suyash Sawant and Shumaila Sayyad were felicitated in recognition of their accomplishments. The ceremony also celebrated the academic excellence of the top three rank holders of FE (CSE AI & ML), including Vedika Parab, Raj Adbal and Akansha Nagvekar.
Anushka Shevde anchored the inaugural ceremony with confidence and enthusiasm. In his address, Dr. Yogesh Gajmal encouraged students to remain focused on their engineering studies while actively participating in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to support their overall development. Prof. Akshay Shetye appreciated the dedicated efforts of all committee members in creating an innovative and impressive Harry Potter-themed lumo’s decoration. He motivated students to work honestly and wholeheartedly towards their goals, encouraging them to experience their student journey calmly, passionately, positively, and without unnecessary stress.
Following the inauguration, a refreshment break was organized, during which committee members served delicious refreshments to faculty members and SE students. The celebration then continued with a series of entertaining activities, including musical games, fishponds, stand-up comedy, and dance performances. Students participated enthusiastically, making the occasion lively, enjoyable, and memorable.
