BrainByte: AI Arena Competition
The Brainwaves 2K26 team of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri organized the “BrainByte: AI Arena Competition” as part of the technical events under Brainwaves. At the inauguration of this competition, a one-hour seminar titled “Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Future Jobs and Career Opportunities” was organized to create awareness among students about the growing influence of AI in various professional fields. For this seminar, Mr. Prashant Acharya, CEO of Aarayk Solutions, Ratnagiri was invited as the resource person. During the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Milind Yadav, Vice-Principal of FAMT, felicitated the resource person Mr. Prashant Acharya, while Brainwaves Coordinator Prof. Swapnali Teli felicitated Dr. Milind Yadav. Mr. Prashant Acharya delivered an insightful session explaining the role of Artificial Intelligence in transforming industries, the skills required for future careers, and the opportunities available for students in the AI domain.
After the seminar, the BrainByte: AI Arena Competition commenced with enthusiastic participation from students of various nearby colleges. A total of 10 teams participated in the competition. The event consisted of three rounds based on Artificial Intelligence concepts and applications. The first round was a quiz round testing participants’ knowledge of AI fundamentals, followed by a sub-round where students were given different AI-related situations and asked to present their opinions and ideas. In the second round, participants were required to generate images using AI prompts, and a debate sub-round was also conducted where students discussed different AI-related topics. In the final round, teams were given different problem statements related to AI and were asked to present suitable solutions, which tested their creativity, analytical thinking, and technical understanding. The competition was judged by Prof. Mandar Joshi and Prof. Nargis Gangrekar, who evaluated the participants based on their knowledge, creativity, and presentation skills. At the end of the competition, three teams were declared winners.
