Blood Donation Camp
NSS Unit and representatives of Social Science and Community Services Course at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Ratnagiri, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp on 10 February 2026 in the college’s Badminton Hall. The initiative aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about the importance of donating blood to save lives.
The camp was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Kaushal Prasad, who encouraged students and staff to actively participate in this noble cause. A dedicated team of experienced doctors and medical staff from Civil Hospital conducted the camp, ensuring that all safety and hygiene protocols were strictly followed.
Before donation, each donor underwent a medical screening, including checks for hemoglobin levels, blood pressure, and overall health condition. The process was carried out smoothly and efficiently under expert supervision.
The students and faculty participated enthusiastically. A total of 70 units of blood were successfully collected during the camp. Refreshments were provided to all donors, and certificates of appreciation were distributed as a token of gratitude.
The event was a great success, reflecting the strong sense of social responsibility within the institution. Such initiatives reinforce the message that a small act of kindness can make a significant difference in saving lives.
