Social Awareness Seminar on Cellular Phone Radiation Hazards
The Cellular Phone Radiation Hazards Seminar was conducted for the students of R B Shirke High School by the Students of the Department of Information Technology, Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, in association with ACM Student Chapter, on February 10th, 2026, at 10:30 am.
The objective of the session was to spread awareness about cellular phone radiation, its effects on human health, safe usage of mobile devices, and preventive measures to minimize radiation exposure. The presentation was organised and conducted by Bageshree Kakatkar, Samruddhi Janwalkar, Vedang Dhuri, Jazbiya Majgaonkar, Saif Dasurkar, Aqab Madre and Tazmeen Karbhari.
A total of 50 students from 9th standard attended the session. The program began with an introduction highlighting the importance of understanding mobile phone radiation. The presentation was delivered by covering types of radiation, possible health risks, myths and facts, and basic safety measures. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A round, and the event successfully created awareness about safe and responsible mobile phone usage among students.
A team of 07 members actively contributed to the successful organization and smooth execution of the seminar. The seminar was coordinated by ACM Student Chapter Chairman Bageshree Kakatkar, students of the T. E. Information Technology under the guidance of HoD Dr. Vinayak Bharadi and ACM coordinator Prof. Ashish Vartak.
