Five-Day Spoken English & Communication Skills Workshop
A five-day workshop titled “Spoken English & Communication Skills” was successfully conducted from July 26 to 31, 2025, by the Department of First Year Engineering, Finolex Academy of Management & Technology (FAMT), Ratnagiri, for the teachers of Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya. The workshop was conducted with participation from teachers of all subject areas.
The primary objectives of the workshop were to enhance classroom communication skills, and promote a more engaging learning environment. Each session was meticulously designed to cater to the practical needs of school educators. Over the five days, participants engaged in interactive activities that focused on various aspects of spoken English & communication skills
The sessions were facilitated by experienced resource persons: Prof. Darshana M. Bapat, Dr. Dhammapal S. Nangare, Prof. Nargis H. Gangrekar, and Prof. Ajinkya P. Prabhudesai, First Year Engineering Department, FAMT. The participants actively took part in hands-on exercises and collaborative learning tasks. All participating teachers received Certificates of Participation upon successful completion of the workshop.
The success of the workshop was made possible through the valuable support and encouragement of Mr. Rohit Deshpande, Principal of Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya, and Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal of FAMT. Special thanks are also extended to Dr. Y. G. Mulye, Head of the Department of First Year Engineering, FAMT, for his consistent guidance in the planning and execution of the event. The workshop was coordinated by Ms. N. H. Gangrekar.
The event marked a significant step toward empowering educators with the tools and confidence to use English more effectively in their classrooms and beyond. Feedback from participants reflected satisfaction and a strong interest in similar future initiatives.
