Induction Program for FYMCA Students

The Induction Program for First-Year Master of Computer Applications (FYMCA) students was organized by the Department of Master of Computer Applications on 9th September 2026. The program aimed to familiarize newly admitted students with the institution, its academic systems and procedures, while helping them understand the culture of the institute and develop meaningful bonds with their peers and faculty members.

The program was inaugurated with Maa Saraswati Vandana. Prof. Harshada U. Salvi welcomed the principal, faculty members and students and briefed the audience about the objectives and other aspects of the induction program. Prof. Supriya S. Surve felicitated the dignitaries, faculty members and staff by presenting them with roses as a gesture of warmth and respect. The inauguration program was anchored by Prof. Harshada U. Salvi. Prof. Ravindra V. Kerkar Coordinated the program.

 The Principal, Dr. Kaushal K. Prasad, delivered the keynote address to the First-Year MCA students. He welcomed the students and congratulated them on choosing the MCA program as a pathway for building their careers. He provided an overview of the history of the institute and explained how it was founded by Late Shri P. P. Chhabria. He also emphasized the importance of continuously building and strengthening technical and professional skills and encouraged students to keep updating their knowledge in the rapidly evolving field of Information Technology. He highlighted the career opportunities available to MCA graduates and explained how the institute’s infrastructure and facilities support students in their academic and professional development.

Prof. Tejas V. Joshi, Head of the MCA Department, introduced the Department of MCA to the newly admitted students. He explained the curriculum, syllabus and examination scheme and encouraged students to attend lectures regularly and maintain a consistent approach towards their studies. He also highlighted the systems and mechanisms followed by the department to facilitate effective teaching and learning.

Prof. Ravindra V. Kerkar, SAM Faculty In-charge introduced the students to the Student Association of MCA (SAM). He explained the objectives of SAM and briefed students about the various activities and events organized by the Student Association of MCA and the Department of MCA.
