Three-Day Hands-on Workshop on PCB Making Under IETE Students Forum (ISF)

            The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, in association with the IETE Student Forum (ISF), organised a 3-day hands-on workshop on PCB Making on 03 to 05 August 2026, under an MoU with Aerobotix Techsolutions.

Mr. Ajinkya Dixit, Founder of Aerobotix Techsolutions, Kolhapur, was the resource person for this hands-on workshop. The objective of this workshop is to explore the PCB-making process for project building among students.

This course was organized to serve the following outcomes:

  1. To be able to design, fabricate, solder, and test a PCB using appropriate tools and standard practices.
  2. To be able to develop and assemble basic electronic hardware prototypes by applying PCB design and manufacturing techniques.
  3. To understand industry practices in PCB manufacturing and recognize the importance of modern PCB technologies for product development and lifelong learning.

Dr. Sharada V. Chougule, HOD, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, graced the inaugural program, introduced and welcomed the resource person.

Dr Kaushal Prasad, Principal, delivered the keynote address about the industrial revolution, recent advancements happening around us, and motivated students to acquire the latest skill sets to build their careers.

 Resource Person Mr. Ajinkya D Dixit, Founder, Aerobotix Techsolutions Pvt. Ltd, Kolhapur, along with his assistants Mr Samarth Katkar and Mr. Shaheed Patel, conducted the workshop and covered the basics of PCB making, starting from PCB design rules, PCB Design in Kicad, fabrication, etching, drilling, soldering, and testing of PCBs.

Dr. Amol R. Sutar and Prof. Neha A. Marathe worked as Faculty Coordinators of the event. The workshop was coordinated by students Mr. Rutvij Sonar and Ms. Prattyancha Shembekar of BE EXTC.

A total of 50 students from SE EXTC had registered and actively participated in the workshop and shared their feedback at the end of the workshop.
