Student Induction Program for First Year Engineering Students
A Student Induction Programme was organised on 2nd and 3rd September 2026 at C 1/6, Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri, for the newly admitted first-year engineering students. The programme aimed to welcome the students and familiarise them with the college environment, academic practices, and rules and regulations.
Principal, Dr. Kaushal Prasad, addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to focus on academics, maintain discipline, and actively participate in college activities. He emphasised the importance of holistic development and making the most of the opportunities available to them.
The Registrar, Mr. G. D. Targaonkar, briefed the students about scholarships and various student facilities. The Presiding Officer of the Internal Committee, Dr. G. N. Sawant, delivered an informative talk on the Committee’s role and functioning and encouraged students to remain aware of its support mechanisms.
The Head of the First-Year Engineering Department, Dr. D. S. Nangre, delivered a motivational address, encouraging students to work diligently, develop their technical and interpersonal skills, and make the most of their engineering journey. He emphasised the importance of discipline, consistency, and a positive attitude in achieving academic excellence and preparing themselves for future professional challenges.
Divisions C, D, E, and G attended the programme on the first day, while Divisions A, B, and F attended on the second day. Prof. S. A. Bandri and Prof. A. P. Prabhudesai coordinated the programme, with Prof. S. A. Bandri also anchoring the event.
Prof. A. P. Prabhudesai proposed a vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, staff, and students for their contribution to the successful conduct of the Programme.
