Hands-on PCB Designing Workshop
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering organised a Hands-on PCB Designing Workshop on 18th March 2026 for second-year EXTC students. Ms. Pallavi Dongardive, Senior Instructor and PCB Designer, Teknomindz Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune, conducted a workshop covering schematic design, simulation for result verification, PCB layout generation, and the creation of Gerber files for both single-layer and double-layer PCBs.
The objectives of the workshop were:
- To introduce students to the fundamentals of PCB design, including schematic capture, circuit simulation, and layout design using KiCad.
- To provide hands-on experience in PCB designing by applying design rules and generating Gerber files for fabrication.
- To develop practical skills through project-oriented PCB design case studies, enhancing problem-solving and real-world application abilities.
The session was organized by the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department (EXTC), and coordinated by Miss. G. S. Bhosale, Assistant Professor of the EXTC Department, under the guidance of HoD EXTC Dr. S.V. Chougule. 56 SE EXTC Students attended the workshop and discussed their doubts. Students shared their feedback of this workshop.
