Field Visit to Suzlon Wind Turbine Power Plant
On Thursday, 10th October 2024, the Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA) organized a field visit to Suzlon Wind turbine power plant, Devgad. The visit was part of the Mumbai University syllabus for the subject Renewable Energy Sources, VIIth sem, Mechanical Engineering. 13 students along with Prof Hemant V Chavan took part in the field visit.
The visit was to understand the need for renewable energy and its potential for developing a sustainable environment to identify different components of wind turbines and the working of the SCADA control system.
The entire field visit was successfully coordinated by the MESA team under the guidance of Prof. Gayatri M Kirkire, Prof. Hemant V Chavan and Dr. Milind S Kirkire, the Head of Mechanical Engg. Department.
