ISHRAE FAMT Student Chapter Installation Ceremony
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT), Ratnagiri, organized the ISHRAE FAMT Student Chapter Installation Ceremony in association with the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), Thane Chapter, on Thursday, 15th October 2026.
The programme focused on the role of ISHRAE in promoting technical excellence, professional ethics, sustainable development, and knowledge sharing in the HVAC&R sector. The initiative was intended to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical industrial requirements by encouraging students to engage in professional activities beyond the prescribed curriculum.
A total of 27 student members were present in the installation ceremony. The most remarkable highlight of the ISHRAE FAMT Student Chapter Installation Ceremony was the formation of an all-women Chapter Working Committee (CWC). All the members of the committee are girls, reflecting the growing participation of women in mechanical engineering, technical leadership, and professional organizations.
