Visit to 33/11 KV-15 MVA Substation Kuwarbao, Ratnagiri
A Visit to “33/11 KV substation Kuwarbao, Ratnagiri” was arranged for Second Year students on Saturday, 25thth April 2026.
This industrial visit enabled the students to understand the practical application of theoretical concepts learned in the engineering curriculum. An electrical substation is a subsidiary station of the electricity generation, transmission, and distribution system where voltage is transferred from low to high or vice versa using a transformer. Mr. Malusthe covered all the technical concepts and practical aspects of substation equipment. MVA Substation Kuwarbao is a 33/11 KV & 15 MVA MSEDCL power transmission substation located in Kuwarbao, Ratnagiri, which provides the transmission, distribution and maintenance of power. The focus of the substation is to provide the best services to the consumer, which includes quality and reliable power supply.
A total of 87 students and 02 faculty participated in the visit. Prof. Madhumati P. Mohire and Prof. Sudhir Wamane arranged this visit in coordination and support with Prof. M. N. Tagare and Prof. A. K. Sharma. The visit ended with thanks to Mr. Malusthe Sir -Technician MSEDCL Kuwarbao Ratnagiri.
