FESA Held a Seminar on Anti-Ragging and Drug Addiction
The First Year Engineering Students’ Association (FESA) organized a Seminar on “Anti-Ragging and Drug Addiction” on 28 March 2026 for all the Engineering students at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri. The session was conducted by esteemed resource persons Mr. Laxman Goving Kokare (Police Head Constable), Mrs. Jagruti Kamble (Police Head), and Mr. Sunil Sawant (PSI). The programme commenced with the welcome and felicitation of the guests by presenting bouquets as a token of respect.
During the session, Mrs. Jagruti Kamble and Mr. Sunil Sawant delivered insightful speeches highlighting the harmful effects of drug addiction and the serious consequences of ragging. They explained the long-term impact of these habits on students’ health, career, and personal life, along with the legal punishments associated with such activities. The session was highly interactive, with active participation from students who engaged in discussions and clarified their doubts. The speakers motivated students to adopt a responsible lifestyle and contribute towards maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment.
A total of 200 students participated. The Head of the Department, Dr. Nangre, shared a few words appreciating the initiative and emphasized the importance of such awareness programmes for students.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the FESA Coordinator, Prof. A. Nandhini. The event was successfully organized with the support and assistance of Prof. Darshana Bapat, Prof. Arati Mulye, and Prof. Ajinkya Prabhudesai, who contributed throughout the programme. Overall, the seminar was informative and impactful, leaving students with valuable insights into the importance of discipline, awareness, and healthy living.
