STABILIA – Robo Balancing Workshop Under Brainwaves 2K26

The Brainwaves 2K26 team of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri, organized, a two-day ‘STABILIA Robo Balancing Workshopin the Mechanical Block of FAMT Ratnagiri on 6th February 2026 and 9th February 2026 to prepare students for the upcoming Robo Balancing Competition scheduled on 20th and 21st February 2026.

The workshop aimed to provide practical exposure to robotics, strengthen technical understanding, and develop teamwork and problem-solving skills. The workshop began with felicitation of Prof. Amol Sutar, and Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad by Brainwaves Faculty Coordinator Prof. Swapnali Teli. Dr. Kaushal Prasad addressed the students and conveyed his best wishes for the workshop and competition.

A total of 18 teams from different colleges such as SSPM Kankavali, YBIT Sawantwadi, Abhyankar Kulkarni College Ratnagiri and others participated, with each team consisting of 4 to 5 students. Prof. Amol Sutar delivered a technical presentation explaining the concepts of robot balancing, components, and working principles, followed by hands-on training where students practically implemented the concepts.Due to a large number of registrations, the second day workshop conducted on 9th February 2026 accommodated 40 teams in two slots: morning (9:30 AM to 2:00 PM) and afternoon (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM).

Students were guided through implementation, troubleshooting, and testing of balancing robots, helping them understand real-time challenges and team coordination. The presentation and technical guidance were provided by Prof. Amol Sutar, while hands-on training was conducted by student coordinators Mr. Sahil Parab and Mr. Girish Palkar, assisted by Mr. Niranjan Kolwankar and Mr. Kunal Goriwale.

The workshop was coordinated by Brainwaves student coordinators Mr. Swanand Shenai and Ms. Anushka Talwadekar under the guidance of faculty coordinators Prof. Swapnali Teli and Prof. Sprooha Athalye. The workshop successfully enhanced students’ understanding of robotics, encouraged collaboration among participants from different colleges, and prepared them for the upcoming competition. Certificates were distributed to all participating students. The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks, followed by an interactive networking segment, fostering connection between the students and the resource person.
