National Youth Day – Youth as a Catalysts for Innovation and Nation Building
The National Youth Day Seminar on “Youth as Catalysts for Innovation and Nation Building” was organized by the Computer Science and Engineering (CS) Department in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri, on 16th January 2026 at 10:15 AM, in EN 1/15.
The program was conducted to commemorate National Youth Day and to spread the ideals and vision of Swami Vivekananda among students. The seminar aimed to inspire young minds by emphasizing the crucial role of youth in leadership, innovation, and nation building. The session was graced by the resource person, Dr. Dhammapal S. Nangare, Head of the First-Year Engineering Department, FAMT, Ratnagiri.
Dr. Dhammapal S Nangare delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking talk on Swami Vivekananda’s vision for youth, highlighting the importance of self-confidence, discipline, ethical values, and social responsibility. He elaborated on how today’s youth can act as catalysts for innovation and contribute meaningfully to national development through leadership and positive action. The seminar was attended by 48 students and received positive feedback from participants, who found the topic relevant and motivating. Overall, the program was successfully conducted and proved to be informative and inspiring, encouraging students to imbibe strong values and actively contribute towards nation-building.
The seminar was coordinated by Prof. Mahesh A. Jadhav, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE (Cyber Security). Prof. V. V. Nimbalkar, HOD, CSE (Cyber Security), provided support for the successful conduct of the seminar.
