Blood Donation Camp on account of Founders Day 12th March,2024

The Blood Donation Camp was organized on the occasion of Founders Day -12th March 2024 by the NSS Unit of FAMT in association with Civil Hospital, Ratnagiri aimed to collect voluntary blood donations to support the local healthcare system and promote the importance of regular blood donation among students and community members.

The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony, attended by esteemed guests Ms Amrita Katara, Managing Trustee (Hope Foundation’s FAMT, Ratnagiri) and Mr. Dinanath Kholkar, who graced the occasion with their presence and words of encouragement.

The organizing committee, comprising members from the NSS Unit of FAMT Ratnagiri and Civil Hospital Ratnagiri, was formed to plan and coordinate the event. Promotional materials such as posters, flyers, and social media posts were created and distributed to raise awareness about the event. Volunteers were recruited and trained to assist with registration, donor screening, and other logistical tasks. Collaboration with Civil Hospital Ratnagiri was established to ensure the availability of medical professionals and equipment for the blood donation process.

Positive feedback was received from donors, volunteers, and faculty members indicating satisfaction with the organization and execution of the event. A total of 12 donors donated their blood to the camp.

Prof. Umesh K Samant (Program Officer), Prof. Harsha N Kelkar (Program Officer), Prof. Sachin S Gurav (Institute Coordinator), Prof. Priyanka A. Date (Member), Saurabh S. Shahane (Member) coordinated the event under the guidance of Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad.
