The Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA) in association with Department of Life Long Learning & Extension (DLLE) organized Book Fair on 31st August to 8thSeptember, 2018. The Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad inaugurated the fair along with Prof. Milind Yadav, Head of the Department; Prof. Shodhan Mayekar, DLLE Faculty Advisor; Prof. Tushar Kavatkar, MESA Faculty Advisor; Mr. Pranav Mandavkar, MESA Head; Ms. Khushaboo Karalkar, Ladies Representative; Mr. Manthan Patil, Assistant MESA Head and Event Heads, Mr.Pranay Bullu (MESA) and Mr.Ameya Patkar (DLLE). All the coordinators worked hard to make the event a grand success.
The purpose of the book fair was to make available old books for the students of academy at affordable price. It was helpful for the students who cannot afford to purchase new books from the market. Around 229 books were collected and put on sale during the fair. It is said that “Used books have more knowledge”. The book fair offered an opportunity to find various technical books in different areas which would enhance the reading and learning habits of students.
