Webinar on DEM – an Introduction to Discrete Element Method
The department of Mechanical Engineering conducted an online Webinar on DEM-an Introduction to the Discrete Element Method on 13th& 14thMarch,2018 for the students of Third year Mechanical Engineering. It was conducted by Dr. Marina Sousani, Engineer, EDEM, USA.
The webinar was organized in batches for T.E Mechanical Div A and B on 13th and 14th of March 2018 respectively. Prof. D.V.Patil, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engg. Department, introduced the guests and highlighted the importance of DEM as career and research option. The webinar was of 60 minute’s comprising of theoretical background to Discrete Element Method.
One industrial visit regarding to the application of DEM is proposed as next node of this webinar. Prof.D V Patil coordinated the webinar successfully under the guidance of Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, FAMT and Dr. M S Kirkire, Head of Mechanical Engg. Department.
