A Workshop on Maintenance of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems
The Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a workshop on “Maintenance of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems” on 10th February, 2018 for the students of final year Mechanical Engineering in association with M/s J. J. Engineering Works, Mirjole MIDC, Ratnagiri.
It was inaugurated by Dr. M. S. Kirkire, HoD Mechanical. Mr. J. A. Jaygade from M/s J. J. Engineering Works was the resource person. He has around 30 year experience in the field of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning. He explained the basic components of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems and demonstrated working of Reciprocating, Rotary and Linear Compressor, Window Air Conditioner, Portable Air Conditioner, Deep Freezer and Domestic refrigerator. He also showed formation of PUF (Poly-Urethane Foam) which is used as insulation material in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.Total 69 students participated in the workshop.
Prof. V S Bagade,Prof. S S Gurav, Prof. S U Mayekar, and Prof. R M Rasal were the coordinators for this workshop. The session concluded with the vote of thanks.
