TORQUE TALK (1st Talk in Series)

Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Mechanical Engineering

On 25th August 2026, the Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA) organized a session on Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Mechanical Engineering for the second-year and final-year Mechanical Engineering students in the IT Seminar Hall.

Mrs. Renuka Khochare, shared her invaluable experience in establishing Bhagirathi Enterprises, Kudal. Her struggle during the establishment of the enterprise was really inspirational and motivational to the students. She insisted that with the theoretical knowledge students are getting on campus, they must also explore a chance of getting associated with the industry. She emphasised having more practical experience while completing the four-year engineering journey. She insisted that the students must decide their domain of interest and not restrict themselves to some limited fields. She highlighted the importance of communication without having any barrier of language. She motivated the students to think about becoming an entrepreneur.

The students engaged actively, asking questions and participating in discussions, which enriched their learning experience and served the purpose of starting the alumni talk series. The session witnessed the participation of 110 students from the Mechanical Engineering department

The entire event was successfully coordinated by the MESA students’ team under the guidance of Dr. Gayatri M Kirkire, Prof. Hemant Chavan and Prof Harshal Salvi under the guidance of Dr. Milind S Kirkire, Head of the Mechanical Department.
