Inter-collegiate Research Convention in view of AVISHKAR 2016-17
An Inter-Collegiate research Convention Avishkar 2016-17 has been conducted successfully on 19th October 2016.
The event was organized under Research and Development Consultancy Cell (RDCC). Dr. S. S. Goilkar worked as Chief coordinator along with Prof. S. S. Wamane and Prof. A. R. Sutar as coordinators. Dr. R. S. Bhande (Dean R&D), all RDCC members, faculties and student volunteers of various departments supported for the smooth functioning of the event.
The participants from various disciplines of engineering and science colleges from Ratnagiri and Sidhudurg district showcased their projects at this event. Total 23 research projects (64 participants) were registered for the event. The inauguration program began with an introduction of all the dignitaries and Sarswati pooja. Dr. V. N. Pawar (Engg. & Tech. Coordinator, Avishkar 2016-17) expressed his experiences few research projects of Avishkar 2015 and encouraged the participants. He appreciated Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri for organizing the event successfully.
The projects were evaluated by eminent judges from University of Mumbai. The contestants were judged in two rounds (poster and PPT presentation) on various criteria. The judges were happy with the variety of projects and presentations. They also appreciated the arrangements made by event organizing institute for smooth functioning of the event. They appreciated and applauded the performance of the participants and students enjoyed the competition. The participants called this as learning experience which will help them to enhance their knowledge.
Following project groups are selected for next round of research convention in view of Avishkar 2016-17 to be held on 22nd October 2016 at AC Patil College of Engineering, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
