A Seminar on Sustainable Development in the Automobile Sector
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a seminar on “Sustainable Development in the Automobile Sector” on Friday, 3rd April 2026, at 2:00 PM in the IT Seminar Hall.
The seminar aimed to create awareness among students about sustainable technologies and environmentally responsible practices in the automotive industry. The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Prakash Sardesai, Vice President – Professional and Faculty Development, SAE India.

During the session, Mr Prakash Sardesai discussed the importance of sustainability in the automobile sector, focusing on topics such as the reduction of vehicle emissions, the adoption of Electric vehicles, energy efficiency, and emerging technologies for sustainable mobility. He also highlighted the role of SAE India in supporting student development and professional growth in the automotive field.
A total of 94 students participated in the seminar and benefited from the informative session.
