Teacher’s Day and Engineering Day Celebration Report: CSE (AI & ML/CS)

The Association of Computer Science and Engineering Students (ACSES) of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT) organized the joint celebration of Teacher’s Day and Engineering Day on 13th September 2025. The program was conducted with great enthusiasm and active participation of faculty and students.

The celebration began in the morning with lectures arranged for SE students. These lectures, conducted by TE students from 9:15 AM to 11:15 AM, created an opportunity for juniors to learn from their seniors and helped in developing a peer-to-peer learning culture within the department. Mr. Zain Solkar, Ms. Soha Ansari, Ms. Mariyam Khadas conducted lectures for SE students.

In the afternoon, a Coding Competition was organized from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for SE students of the AIML and Cyber Security branches. A total of 66 students (22 groups) participated in the event. The competition had three rounds designed to test logic-building skills and programming syntax knowledge in C and Python languages. The participants showed keen interest and competitive spirit throughout the rounds. In this competition, the Group of Kunal Shirke, Ved Khanvilkar, Sahim Nakva won the First Prize, the Group of Sahil Gurav, Smith Naik, Sujal Bandkar won the Second Prize, and the Group of Kanva Deolekar, Shravani Salvi, Anushka Shewade won the Third Prize.

The main event commenced later with speeches by esteemed faculty members and students. Dr. Yogesh Gajmal (HoD, CSE AIML) shared an inspiring story about Sir M. Visvesvaraya and stressed the importance of implementing theoretical knowledge in practical fields. Prof. Nimbalkar (HoD, Cyber Security) highlighted the role and significance of teachers in shaping a student’s academic journey. Prof. Akshay Shetye (Faculty In-Charge, ACSES) expressed appreciation for the sincere efforts of students in making the event a grand success. Student representatives Arya Kelkar and Anushka Shewade also delivered thoughtful speeches expressing gratitude towards teachers and reflecting on the significance of Engineer’s Day.
