03 Days Workshop on The Brain of Modern Robotics: Raspberry Pi Under the IETE Students Forum (ISF)
A three-day Workshop on The Brain of Modern Robotics: Raspberry Pi under the IETE Students Forum (ISF) was organized by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, from 18th to 20th September 2025, under the IETE Students Forum (ISF) and MoU with Aerobotix Technosolutions Limited, Kolhapur.
The workshop provided students with hands-on experience in hardware interfacing, sensor integration, and IoT application development using Raspberry Pi and the Node-RED platform. Guided by industry expert Mr. Ajinkya D. Dixit, Founder of Aerobotix Techsolutions Pvt. Ltd., the sessions covered fundamental to advanced concepts of Raspberry Pi and its applications in modern robotics and Industry 4.0.
The objective of this workshop is to explore the capabilities of Raspberry Pi and IoT application development towards project building among students. The workshop successfully fulfilled the following objectives:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals and practical applications of Raspberry Pi in modern robotics.
- Apply hands-on skills in interfacing sensors and actuators using Raspberry Pi.
- Analyze and integrate hardware and software components for robotics applications.
- Develop problem-solving and debugging skills through project-based learning.
Dr. S. V. Chougule, Head of the EXTC Department, graced the inaugural session and extended a warm welcome to the resource person. Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the significance of the industrial revolution and encouraging students to acquire the latest skill sets to enhance their employability.
The sessions were conducted by Mr. Ajinkya D. Dixit, Founder of Aerobotix Techsolutions Pvt. Ltd., Kolhapur, who covered topics ranging from the basics to advanced applications of Raspberry Pi in IoT development and highlighted its vital role in Industry 4.0.
