IT Department Held a Career Exploration Workshop
The Department of Information Technology, Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri organized a “Career Exploration Workshop” on 25-03-2025 from 10.15 am to 12.15 pm for SE and TE students. The resource person for this event was Mr. Shailesh Vatsaraj, Certified Career Coach, Rankers Brainery, Mumbai and Mrs. Reshma Kale, Career Counselor, SucceedWithMe, Mumbai.
The main objective of the session was to help students identify career paths that align with their skills, interests and aspirations, introduce global career opportunities, develop job readiness skills and foster innovation and entrepreneurship through various ideation activities.
Mrs Reshma Kale guided students with the IELTS test process and also explained the importance and benefits of learning Japanese and German language in the IT sector. Mr. Shailesh Vatsaraj guided students by discussing recent job trends of 2025. He also explained the importance of projects and internships, highlighting how they provide practical experience and allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.
Additionally expert conducted an engaging session where students participated in the OCEAN personality test, providing valuable insights into their traits such as Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism.
The coordinator of this workshop was Prof. Rashmi S. More, Assistant Professor of Information Technology Engineering. This workshop was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vinayak A. Bharadi, the Head of the Information Technology Department.
