Teacher’s Day and Engineer’s Day Celebration
The Association of Computer Science Engineering Students celebrated Engineer’s Day and Teacher’s day on 27th September 2024. As these two days are important in the college life of engineering students, a lot of activities were organized and performed in the virtue of celebration. On this day, students of T.E. CSE-AIML class conducted lectures on S.E and T.E classes. Mr. Raunak Wete, Mr. Tejas Kavathankar, Ms. Saher Budye, Mr. Tanmay Gawade, Mr. Rushikesh Falke and Mr. Aditya Mayekar conducted various sessions. This was a tribute to their teachers.
In order to motivate the students for coding practice, Coding Competition was conducted for SE students of the department at 12.30 pm. This coding competition was based on C language and 10 problem statements were given on arrays in C language. 20 students participated in this competition. B.E students were in the scrutiny committee to validate the code and prepare result of this competition.
To improve soft skills like communication, a Group Discussion Competition was also organized for students. Total 10 students participated in this competition. The competition was divided into 2 rounds with the topics “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao will abolish orthodox mindset” and “Do deadlines destroy the creativity” for respective rounds. In the evening, for the felicitation of all teachers and winners of the competitions, the association organized a program and Respected Principal sir, Dr. Kaushal Prasad was the Guest of Honour. The program began with the traditional lamp lightening and offering prayer to Goddess Saraswati by all the dignitaries. Principal sir addressed the students with his motivational speech. He related the importance of reading books specifically autobiographies of renowned personalities. He also highlighted the significance of spiritual activities to face any situation in the daily life. Prof. A.N. Shetye, faculty incharge of students association, in his speech appreciated students of the department for their contribution in the overall development of the department. Students namely, Ms.Prabhukhanolkar Laxmi ,Ms. Khadas Mariyam expressed their gratitude and respect for their teachers.
All the teachers were felicitated with a special gift as token of respect.
Mr. Shivam Parab grabbed first prize in Group Discussion and Mr. Solkar Zain and Ms. Sayaad Shumaala got first prize in a coding competition. HoD, Vrishali Nimbalkar madam expressed her sincere gratitude towards all the students for their enthusiastic participation in the organization of the event and for the systematic execution of it. Mr. Giriprasad and Ms. Mihika both were coordinators for this event.
