CSE Department Held Freshflix 2k24
The Association of Computer Science and Engineering Students(ACSES) organized a welcome function titled “Freshflix 2k24” on 9th August 2024 to welcome second-year students(freshers) of the CSE-AI & ML Department.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Principal Dr K. K Prasad, Dean of Faculty – Dr S.B. Kulkarni, Head of I.T. Department – Dr V. A. Bharadi, Head of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) Department – Prof. V.V. Nimbalkar and all faculty members teaching to SE and TE CSE-AI & ML as well as all students of Computer Science Engineering Department. The function began with a brief introduction and lamp lightening and worship of goddess Saraswati who is a symbol of knowledge and wisdom.The event aimed to unite second-year students with their peers, introduce them to the department’s work culture, and educate freshers about past activities, achievements, and the student association’s efforts.
The function began with Ms. Arfa Phansopkar and Muskan Pangerkar introducing the department and program. Dignitaries, faculty, and staff were felicitated with roses as tokens of gratitude. Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad praised students for their exceptional grades and encouraged holistic development, urging them to uphold the standards set by the previous batch. Prof. V.V. Nimbalkar, Head of CSE, welcomed freshers and emphasized importance of humility and respect. Prof. A.N. Shetye outlined the ACSES Committee’s planned activities and expectations. The department also congratulated second-year students who had achieved exceptional grades in the past semester exam with a token of appreciation.
Mr Giriprasath Kanakarasan and Ms.Mihika Bhatkar were the coordinators of the program, and Prof. A. N. Shetye was the faculty coordinator. A total of 150 students of SE TE and BE students of the CSE- AI & ML department actively participated. The program was organized and conducted under the guidance of Prof. Vrishali V. Nimbalkar.
