Safeguarding Your Research: How to Identify the Right Journals and Avoid Predatory Ones
The Research Development and Consultancy Cell (RDCC) at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri, held a workshop on 5th July 2024 titled “Safeguarding Your Research: How to Identify the Right Journals and Avoid Predatory Ones.” The session was led by Dr. Sandeep Chawda, Dean (R&D), who also coordinated the event.
Dr. Chawda addressed the critical issue of identifying reputable journals for research publications. He highlighted the risks associated with predatory journals and provided practical strategies for distinguishing legitimate journals. The workshop aimed to empower researchers with the knowledge to protect their work and enhance their academic credibility.
A total of 11 faculty members and 2 staff members participated in the workshop. The attendees engaged actively in discussions and Q&A sessions, reflecting their keen interest in the topic and their commitment to upholding high research standards.
The event concluded with positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the practical advice and expertise shared by Dr. Chawda. The RDCC’s initiative underscores its dedication to fostering a strong research culture and ensuring the integrity of academic publications.
