A Program on India Semiconductor Mission and India’s Techade
The Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Development Cell (IEDC), Institute Innovation Council (IIC), and Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering collaboratively organized a program on “India’s Semiconductor Mission and India’s Techade “on March 13, 2024.
The program featured an online seminar titled “Project, Product & Research: Opportunities and Outcome,” with Dr. Y. Srinivas Rao from Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai, as the distinguished speaker.
Following the seminar, a live broadcast of India’s Semiconductor Mission occurred. To bolster semiconductor facilities in India, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for three semiconductor facilities: India’s First Fab Facility in Dholera, Gujarat, OSAT facility in Sanand, Gujarat, and OSAT facility in Morigaon, Assam, on March 13, 2024, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
The program saw participation from one hundred and twenty-three students and faculty members from the Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Departments. Dr Sandeep Chawda, Dean (R&D), and Dr. S V Chogule (Head, EXTC Department) coordinated the program, with support from Dr. Aswant Sharma, Dr. V M Galshetwar, Mr. Sambhare, Mr. Pardule, and Mr. Peje, who assisted in its smooth execution.
The event was successful in raising awareness about India’s Semiconductor Mission and India’s Techade, with an exclusive focus on semiconductors, their pivotal role, and significant contributions to the establishment of fab facilities in India for the nation’s development. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Sandeep Chawda.
