A Seminar on Career Opportunities in Oil & Gas Industry
The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a Seminar on “Career Opportunities in Oil & Gas Industry” on 14th February 2024. Mr. Gautam Wayse, MD, Sepadu Tech Pvt Ltd, was invited to interact with Third Year and Final Year Chemical Engineering students, with the objective of awareness about the roles and responsibilities of a chemical engineer and the future scope in the Oil & Gas Industry.
The seminar was arranged in collaboration with the Association of Chemical Engineering Students (ACES) and began in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr. Nitin Kanse and Prof. S. B. Bobde. Mr. Gautam Wayse shared the nature of the Oil and Gas industry and career opportunities for chemical engineers in this field. He also shared details about the competencies required by an undergraduate chemical engineer and how to capitalize on technical skills to excel in this field. Final-year Chemical Engineering students coordinated the event successfully. Ms. Samiya Shivkar hosted the program, and all faculty members of the Chemical Engineering Department were present for the seminar.
The seminar was attended by 29 students and was coordinated successfully by Prof. S. B. Bobde.
